Our Story
Early Life Development Network was founded in March 2025 by Eric and Nikki Dixon after returning to the Chicago and Northwest Indiana area.
The organization was created to help inner-city youth build life skills, confidence, and opportunity early in life before setbacks become lifelong cycles.

Our Mission
Our mission is to create pathways that empower young inner-city youth to thrive educationally, socially, emotionally, and economically, by nurturing their potential and investing in their early life development.
Our Vision
We believe that every young inner-city youth deserves access to resources that foster self-worth, stability, and purpose. Through education, mentorship, life skills training, and community engagement, we equip youth to overcome systemic barriers and create a sustainable future for themselves and their communities.

Who We Serve
Our programs primarily support:
-
Underserved inner-city youth ages 10–22
-
Families raising young people in underserved communities
Our focus is early intervention, mentorship, and long-term stability for youth and their families.
Eric Dixon
Eric Dixon is the Founder and Executive Director of the Early Life Development Network, an organization dedicated to creating a higher standard of living for a better quality of life by empowering youth and elevating communities.
A native of Chicago’s southeast side, Eric’s leadership is rooted in lived experience, resilience, and a deep understanding of the systemic challenges facing underserved youth.
After the loss of his mother at a young age and later the passing of his primary caregiver, Eric developed a profound sense of responsibility, perseverance, and purpose—qualities
that now defines his leadership and vision.
Professionally, Eric served as an Operations Manager at a large distribution center, where he led teams, managed complex operations, and strengthened his ability to execute strategy with discipline and accountability. These experiences now directly inform his work in
building sustainable, results-driven nonprofit programs.
Under Eric’s leadership, the Early Life Development Network focuses on delivering structured, outcome-based initiatives that equip youth with essential life skills, mentorship, and personal development tools. His approach is centered on measurable impact—helping young people build discipline, confidence, and a clear pathway toward long-term success.
Eric is committed to advancing community transformation by addressing root causes, strengthening support systems, and creating scalable programs that produce lasting change.
His work reflects a clear vision: to empower the next generation while elevating entire communities through intentional development and opportunity.
